Established in 2012 by Dr. Reza C. Vatandoust Ph.D. (Law) the firm is focused on the traditional values of legal service and excellence while implementing new technologies and methods enabling the firm to service today’s sophisticated and evolving clients.
Dr. Vatandoust is a Solicitor and Barrister of the Supreme Court of NSW, the Federal Court and the High Court of Australia. Prior to establishing the firm, he spent several years working as a legal practitioner in internal and external roles within the legal profession. His special interests include Litigation, the Principle of Open Justice, Privacy Law, Free Access to Law and International Trade.
Dr. Vatandoust holds degrees in Law, Masters in International Trade Law and Ph.D. in Law from the University of Technology, Sydney as well as a Science degree majoring in Genetics and Biotechnology from the University of New South Wales. His doctoral thesis examined the interaction of the Open Court Rule and Privacy in the context of the digital dissemination of judicial decisions, with a specific focus on the common law and with reference to the free access to law and its movement (FALM).
The firm is founded on the overriding principle of ‘Dura lex sed lex’ which translates to ‘The law is harsh, but it is the law’ and at all times promotes the ideals of a noble profession while maintaining the legal rights of the firm’s clients.
